About this notice

This notice describes the features introduced for Accessible Australia. It does not describe the privacy practices of official Companion Card programs, government services or other websites we link to. Those organisations publish their own notices.

Browsing and technical information

The site runs on WordPress and is delivered through its hosting provider and Cloudflare. Technical information such as an IP address, request time, browser information and requested page may be processed by that infrastructure to deliver and secure the site. The editorial website does not provide public accounts, comments, newsletter registration or advertising forms.

The launch design uses locally hosted photographs and system fonts. It does not load an external font service or embed social media feeds. No marketing analytics or advertising tracking was added as part of this launch. Hosting and security services may still process technical data or use cookies for their operation.

Website enquiries

If an enquiry form is available on the Contact page, it requests your name, email address and message. Submitting it sends that information to the website administrator by email so the enquiry can be considered and answered. The form does not create a public comment or a WordPress contact-record database.

The form uses a short-lived, salted hash of the connection IP address to limit repeated submissions. That rate-limit record expires after one minute. Email handling and delivery also involve the site’s mail infrastructure. Do not submit medical records, identity documents, card numbers or information that is not needed for your enquiry.

Following a link takes you to a separate service with its own data handling. We link to official programs so you can check requirements and submit applications directly there. Accessible Australia does not collect Companion Card applications or receive decisions made by those programs.

Cookies and administrator access

WordPress may use cookies for authorised administrators signing in and managing the site. Public visitors do not need to sign in to read the guides. Your browser allows you to inspect, block or remove cookies, although blocking security or login cookies can affect those functions.

Privacy questions

Use the current channel shown on our contact page for questions about this website or a message you have sent. We have not published a retention period for administrator email or infrastructure logs because it has not been verified. Avoid sending sensitive information through the website; the site operator will need to confirm those operational details for a specific request.

This notice was prepared for the initial Accessible Australia launch on 7 October 2026 and should be reviewed when services, data collection or contact arrangements change.
